The Goodman SSZ140301 is a high-efficiency outdoor air conditioner and heat pump for a split system installation. This outdoor component needs to be connected with an indoor air handler or an electric furnace to create a complete air conditioning system. This allows for many options for personalizing an HVAC system, which can be altered depending on desired energy-efficiency, cost, installation type and more.

This model with heat pump is capable of up to 15 SEER and 8.5 HSPF ratings when paired with the correct components. Specific ratings will depend in the indoor air handler or furnace used. This Goodman condenser features a 2.5 ton nominal heating and cooling capacity at 30,000 BTU. It's usually recommended that the tonnage of the outdoor condenser be less than the indoor unit.

The SSZ14 line of split system air conditioners uses a high-efficiency scroll compressor with built-in Expanded CoreSense diagnostics. Cooling is created with the environmentally friendly R-410A chlorine-free refrigerant. This Goodman condenser is reliably constructed and protected by a heavy-gauge galvanized-steel cabinet with an architectural gray powder paint finish. It also uses SmartShift technology to ensure reliable defrosting in the coldest months. Goodman has also packaged this heat pump to have the following factory-installed components:

Description

The Goodman HKSX08XC is an electric heat kit. It comes from the HKS line, which is intended for use with Goodman air handlers. This model uses rust-resistant nickel chromium heating elements and has 8 kW nominal heating.

This Goodman heat kit features sequences for better temperature control. It has multiple branch circuit capability and has been completely assembled and tested so our customers know they are good to go. Plus, Goodman electronic heat kits are known for being easy to install and a plug-in wiring harness makes it simple to fit into the air handler.

Description

A specially formulated super-hydrophobic (water repelling) product in a convenient aerosol package for field service. The non-conductive formula has numerous applications in the management of water on non-food, non-potable water surfaces for the HVAC/R trade; surfaces that are not exposed to ongoing abrasion (hand and foot traffic).

Directions

This product must be used in accordance to the following directions by HVACR professionals only.

1. Disconnect all power to the equipment before use. Do not spray near sparks, heat or open flame. Discontinue the use of power tools during use. Do not smoke while applying product.
2. Shake well before use. Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Keep area ventilated until fumes are gone. Avoid breathing of fumes during application.
3. Ensure surface is clean and mostly to fully dry before applying. After a coil cleaning, the surface needs to be blown dry with an inert gas to remove excess moisture from the surface before applying Nu-Shield.
4. From a distance of 6-12 inches, spray a light coat on the surface, but no more beyond it being visibly wet. In other words, ‘Wet It and Forget It’. Contents in the canister will cover approximately 100 square feet. Depending on ambient conditions, allow a minimum of 20 minutes for Nu-Shield to dry on surface. Ensure surface appears visually dry and fumes are gone from the area before turning on power to equipment.

Note: Product needs to be applied after each coil cleaning. For best results, especially in corrosive environments, the product should be reapplied annually.

But beacuse these are air conditioners and the package weighs more than 90 pounds usually, shipping overnight can result in the package being mishandled and delivered damaged.
