The Goodman GSX160481 is a high-efficiency condenser for a split system air conditioner. This outdoor component needs to be connected with an indoor air handler or evaporator coil to create a complete air conditioning system. This allows for many options for personalizing an HVAC system, which can be altered depending on desired energy-efficiency, cost, installation type and number of cooling zones.

This model is capable of an impressive 16 SEER efficiency when paired with the correct components. Specific cooling ratings will depend in the indoor air handler or furnace used. This Goodman condenser features a 4 ton cooling capacity at 45,500 BTU. It's usually recommended that the tonnage of the outdoor condenser be less than the indoor unit.

The GSX16 line of split system air conditioners uses a high-efficiency compressor. This Goodman condenser is reliably constructed and protected by a steel louver coil guard with an attractive architectural gray powder-paint finish that has a 500-hour salt spray approval. The Goodman AVPTC48D14 is a multi-position, variable-speed air handler with internal factory-installed thermal expansion valves. It is compatible with ComfortNet communication systems for convenient control over this unit. It has a top-of-the-line, all-aluminum evaporator coil. This model can be installed in horizontal or vertical configurations, providing many heating and cooling options for the customer.

This Goodman air conditioner comes from the AVPTC line of air handlers. It features a blower cooling capacity of 4 tons with a nominal cooling rating of 48,000 BTU/h. For effective cooling, this air handler uses a variable-speed ECM blower motor.

This multi-position air handler comes with many impressive features that make it a great choice for your home. Its cabinet is made with a rigid SmartFrame design for durability and it has a galvanized, leather grain-embossed finish. A CFM indicator and six-recent fault recall make it easy to monitor performance. The design of this model reduces condensation through screwless sides and back and a foil-faced insulation covering the internal casing. Description

A specially formulated super-hydrophobic (water repelling) product in a convenient aerosol package for field service. The non-conductive formula has numerous applications in the management of water on non-food, non-potable water surfaces for the HVAC/R trade; surfaces that are not exposed to ongoing abrasion (hand and foot traffic).

Directions

This product must be used in accordance to the following directions by HVACR professionals only.

1. Disconnect all power to the equipment before use. Do not spray near sparks, heat or open flame. Discontinue the use of power tools during use. Do not smoke while applying product.
2. Shake well before use. Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Keep area ventilated until fumes are gone. Avoid breathing of fumes during application.
3. Ensure surface is clean and mostly to fully dry before applying. After a coil cleaning, the surface needs to be blown dry with an inert gas to remove excess moisture from the surface before applying Nu-Shield.
4. From a distance of 6-12 inches, spray a light coat on the surface, but no more beyond it being visibly wet. In other words, ‘Wet It and Forget It’. Contents in the canister will cover approximately 100 square feet. Depending on ambient conditions, allow a minimum of 20 minutes for Nu-Shield to dry on surface. Ensure surface appears visually dry and fumes are gone from the area before turning on power to equipment.

Note: Product needs to be applied after each coil cleaning. For best results, especially in corrosive environments, the product should be reapplied annually.
